It’s almost the end of November, which means it’s time to start collecting maple leaves again in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. For a limited time, players can catch falling maple leaves on their island and use them in various seasonal maple leaf DIY crafting recipes. This guide will explain how to catch maple leaves in New Horizons and turn them into fall decorations.
Each year, maple leaves will fall in Animal Crossing: New Horizons from November 16 through November 25. Other smaller leaves will fall through the air during this time as well. Maple leaves are large, red, and fall more slowly than other falling leaves.
How to Catch Maple Leaves

Much like cherry blossom petals and snowflakes, players can catch maple leaves using a net. The best way to go about catching maple leaves is by sneaking up on them. Sneaking allows you to aim your net more accurately, so you are less likely to miss. While holding a net, hold down the A button to begin sneaking. Slowly approach a falling maple leaf and release A when you get close. Maple leaves can be sold at Nook’s Cranny for 200 Bells each, though it may be better to keep extra maple leaves in your storage for trading purposes or out-of-season usage.
